On a further extended tanh method

摘要：

In this Letter, We present a further extended tanh method for constructing exact solutions of nonlinear evolution and wave equations (NEWEs). By using this method via symbolic computation system MAPLE, We obtain abundant soliton-like and period-form solutions of the (3 + 1)-dimensional Jumbo-Miwa equation. Solitary wave solutions are merely a special case in one family. Our method can also be applied to other NEWEs. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
