Thermodynamic properties of aqueous solution of 2-isobutoxyethanol at T = (293.15, 298.15, and 303.15) K, below and above LCST

Excess enthalpies, excess isobaric heat capacities, densities and sound velocities of (CH3)(2)CHCH2OCH2CH2OH + (1-x)H2O} were measured at T = 293.15 K below, T = 298.15 K near, and T = 303.15 K above the lower critical consolute temperature (LCST). Excess volumes and excess thermal expansivities were estimated from densities, excess isentropic and isothermal compressibilities, and isochoric heat capacities were estimated from density, speed of sound and isobaric heat capacity. Excess isobaric heat capacity and excess thermal expansivity were positive. The other properties, excess enthalpy, excess volume, and excess compressibilities were negative. Excess isobaric heat capacity defined an anomalous curve. Excess volume, excess compressibilities and excess thermal expansivity showed characteristics of aqueous solution of alcohols.
