摘要
A novel, self-made, hydraulic, and dynamic injection-molding machine was used to mold low-density polyethylene samples in a standard sample mold. These samples were tested for tensile strength, density, differential scanning calorimetry, and energy consumption of the molding process to explore the influences of the vibration frequency and amplitude on the properties of the products. The results show that the maximum tensile strength was enhanced by 6.1%, the density was higher by 0.34%, the melting point moved to a higher temperature by 1.7 degrees C, and the power consumption of the whole molding process was lowered by 7.5% when the vibration was imposed. The changing regularity is presented. (C) 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 117: 1208-1212, 2010
