摘要：

An eddy-current probe of the level of molten metal for a sectional machine for continuous casting of steel is considered. The advantages of electromagnetic level sensors over radiometric ones lie in their insensitivity to the dross layer and high operating speed. The results obtained and directions of further studies are demonstrated.
