摘要
Developing a successful targeted drug delivery systems for an extended time period is still a dream, however it's been largely frustrated by the complex chemical reaction that's associated within the development of newest drug delivery systems. The newly developed colloidal system called nanosponges have potential to resolve the problems like drug toxicity, lower bioavailability and drug release during a range as they will be able to modify in both hydrophilic and hydrophobic type of drug. Nano sponges are defined as a tiny sponge which will circulate within the body to succeed in the precise site as well as bind on the surface of effected area to release the drug during a controlled/sustain and predictable manner. Nanosponge have a porous structure which can entrap the moieties from drug and give a grade of desired release. Nanosponge drug delivery system (NSDDS) has made an appearance together of the foremost promising fields in pharmaceutics. The objective of the review is to give in depth information on nanosponge with their technique of preparation, evaluation and applications in healthcare.
