Methanol crossover through modified Nafion proton exchange membrane

摘要
The proton exchange membrane direct methanol fuel cells (PEMDMFC) show considerably lower performance than the hydrogen fuel cell because of inefficient methanol oxidation and the crossover of methanol through the membrane that separates the anode from the cathode. This paper describes electrochemical measurements made on a Nation membrane modified by electrochemical deposition of poly(1-methyl pyrrole) on its side.
