摘要
Agricultural land values vary considerably among geographic regions. Florida counties with the higher agricultural land values are located in or adjoin urbanized areas, Counties which are more intensively farmed and have higher agricultural incomes also have higher agricultural land values, The objectives of this study were to identify the factors that contribute to the variation among counties and to estimate the effect of these factors on agricultural land values. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the variation in agricultural land values among Florida counties. Farm income, land use variables which measure the amount of land used for citrus and vegetable production, population density, location, and average size of farm explained 89.5 percent of the variation in agricultural land values among Florida counties.
