摘要
As matter of course traditional silica optical fibers have been widely utilized in slow-light generation promoted by an inelastic scattering process designated as stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS). We intend to explore two different configurations of the solid-core Er-doped and undoped tellurite glass triangular lattice microstructured optical fibers (T-MOFs) by using a theoretical model, for investigating the optical characteristics of slow-light generation assisted by SBS, such as effective mode area, minimum and maximum pump powers, Brillouin gain and the time delay. Also, we studied the effect of cladding parameters on effective index of the mode, and the spectral response of group velocity as well as dispersion coefficient for both geometries of the MOFs. Comparisons have been made with those numerically simulated results as available in the literature, and the relative errors are also evaluated.
