摘要
We present an effective numerical algorithm based on discrete variable techniques combined with finite elements for solving the non-separable three-dimensional Schrodinger equation. As an example we study the hydrogen atom in strong external magnetic and electric fields, a doorway system in the quest of quantum chaology and for studying atomic properties relevant for astrophysical questions.
