pi NN form factor determined from a microscopic model for pi N scattering

摘要
We determine the pi NN form factor from the P-11 partial wave of pi N scattering by dressing a corresponding bare vertex with the help of pi N non-pole contributions within the meson exchange framework. For pseudovector pi NN coupling the pi NN form factor can be roughly parameterized by a monopole with cutoff mass greater than or similar to 500 MeV, with some variation due to model dependencies. The pi NN form factor based on pseudoscalar coupling is less soft and characterized by a monopole cutoff mass greater than or similar to 700 MeV, in good agreement with independent information.
