摘要
Increased cellular proliferation is a hallmark of the cancer phenotype. Cellular proliferation imaging has a number of potential advantages over in vitro assay and glucose metabolic imaging using fluorodeoxyglucose PET, which is the mainstay of current clinical PET imaging. This article reviews the biology underlying proliferation imaging, radiopharmaceuticals used for proliferation imaging, preclinical studies of proliferation imaging, and clinical results through 2003.
