Structural, optical, dielectric and EPR properties of vanadium-doped lithium sulfate monohydrate single crystal for optoelectronic applications

摘要
Nonlinear optical crystals of inorganic salt lithium sulfate monohydrate (LSMH) doped with vanadium were grown with an aid of using gradual evaporation from aqueous solution growth technique. The unit cell structure and space group of the LSMH-VO2+ were diagnosed by the powder X-ray diffraction analysis. A systematic investigation on UV-Vis-NIR transmittance and dielectric properties of LSMH-VO2+ single crystal has been performed to analyze the optical and dielectric behavior of the material. The different types of molecular vibrations in the material are determined from FTIR traces. Single crystal of LSMH-VO2+ becomes subjected to scanning electron microscope which images the imperfection affording inside the grown single crystal. The spin Hamiltonian parameters g and A had been calculated through polycrystalline electron paramagnetic resonance analysis. From those values, the local crystal field symmetry, molecular orbital coefficients, admixture coefficients and ground state wave function of VO2+-doped LSMH single crystal were calculated.
