摘要
Safflower seeds(contain about 17% crude protein and 35% ether extract. Decorticated oilcake can well be utilised in pig and poultry feeds with attention to the balance of aminoacids and high crude fiber content. It has no negative effect on digestion or on meat and egg quality. It has been included upto 15% in diets for monogastric animals with good results (FAO, 2004). Safflower oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (linoleic acid 78%) which play an-important role in reducing blood cholesterol level and is considered as a healthy cooking medium Safflower seed is a source of magnesium, lysine, vitamin E, pyridoxine, biotin, panthothenic acid and choline (Bob, 2004).
