摘要
Contemporary enterprises operating on the market not only affect the development of the national economy but also influence the formation of the nearest social and environmental environment. Although their primary purpose of the activity is economic goals, along with their simultaneous realization, enterprises undertake several numbers of actions focused on the social and ecological environment as well. These activities are part of an increasingly common trend, which is the concept of sustainable entrepreneurship, understood as a continuous commitment of the entrepreneur to ethical behaviour and contributing to economic development while improving the quality of life of employees, society and environmental protection. Thus the purpose of an article was examining whether there is a relationship between economic goals and such activities undertaken by Polish enterprises in the SME sector. Based on the results of the research, the conclusion is that longer the company operates on the market, the more actions it undertakes that fit into the concept of sustainable entrepreneurship.
