摘要
In this paper we present and compare four different State-of-Charge (SoC) balancing strategies including continuous-time, discretized, event-triggered and self-triggered balancing strategies for Lithium smart battery systems. Under the assumption that the communication topology among smart battery units is connected and undirected, average SoC balancing can be achieved under all four balancing strategies. Compared to continuous-time strategies, discretized and event-triggered balancing strategies reduce the communication among battery units as well as the computation of controllers. Self-triggered strategies further relax the requirement of continuously monitoring the SoC of each unit and its neighbors. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness and compare the differences of the four strategies.
