Effects of Calcium Acetate on the Hydrothermal Synthesis of Tetragonal-Phase ZrO2(3Y) Nanocrystals

摘要
ZrO2(3Y) nano-powders were prepared by hydrothermal method with the precursor of amorphous zirconium (yttrium) hydrates obtained through co-deposition approach using ZrOCl2 center dot 8H(2)O, YCl3 and NH4OH as raw materials. XRD, TEM and BET were employed to study the effects of the addition of calcium acetate and other mineralizers on the grain size and phase compositions of the as-prepared ZrO2(3Y) nano-powders. The results show that the as-synthesized ZrO2(3Y) nano-powders with the addition of calcium acetate, are almost mono-dispersed and well-crystallized. Otherwise, the ZrO2(3Y) nano-powders with the diameter of 5 nm are composed of tetragonal phase without any calcination.
