摘要
In this paper, a new broadband circularly-polarized antenna is presented for ultrahigh frequency (UHF) in the RFID systems. The antenna is designed to cover the European RFID band (860-868 MHz). We reduced the size of the antenna by18, 75% resulting in a volume of (130X130X30) mm(3). A slot (lambda/4) is etched on the radiating element. Simulations have shown a -10dB return loss bandwidth (S11) covering the frequency range from 750 MHz to 900 MHz, and a 3-dB axial ratio at 866 MHz, which make the antenna suitable for RFID systems. We broadened the S11 band widths by using a stacked ring. The gain is about 7.98 dBm at 866 MHz.
