摘要
Virtual creatures are graphics objects of "artificial life". The construction of virtual creatures requires studying biological creatures and modeling their behavior into autonomous agents in a computer-synthesized world. This paper presents an object-oriented approach of modeling artificial lives, in which, object-oriented technology is not merely a tool of developing expandable simulation systems, but also an efficient way of building interactive, autonomous entities. The practice of this approach is demonstrated with an implementation of a virtual aquatic ecosystem.
