Theory of nanoindentation creep controlled by interfacial diffusion

摘要
A one-dimensional model of the nanoindentation diffusional creep was considered. It was shown that the self-diffusion along the specimen surface plays an important role in determining the creep rates and that the analyses available in the literature significantly overestimate the creep rate.
