Characteristics of gas flow rate transients in two-phase flows

摘要
A study of effect of the gas flow rate transients in two-phase flow was carried out in the Multiphase Facility at University of Petroleum (Beijing) China. The test rig consisted of a 50m long, 2-inch diameter stainless steel pipe. Air and water were used as the test fluids and the response to a change flow rate of either phase was measure using a series of conductivity probes, pressure transducers and a gamma densitometer. Added those conclusions mentioned by other studies, some phenomenon difference was observed as following. When the gas flow rate was increased, the frequency of voidage wave increased evidently. When the gas flow rate was decreased, the frequency drops down.
