摘要
The hydrographic basin is the ideal unit for water resources management, which provides information for environmental planning. The objective of this work was to characterize the morphometry of the Alto Jamari River sub-basin. The geometric characteristics, relief and drainage were analyzed by using SRTM image, QGIS software and TauDEM tool. The Alto Jamari sub-basin has an area of 8,119.82 km(2), a perimeter of 662.44 km, elongated form, low to medium flood susceptibility, minimum altitude of 88 m, average of 378 m and maximum of 1,107 m, relief predominance (75%), sinuous drainage network with 8th order dendritic pattern, medium drainage density and concentration time of 43 hours and 24 minutes. To reduce future problems of water scarcity, it is necessary to create use guidelines and regional committees for the sub-basin.
