Simultaneous application of H2O2 and UV or O3, H2O2 and UV in textile wastewater treatment

摘要:
Two types of real textile wastewater taken from one of the textile factories in Lodz were investigated. Dyeing wastewater was treated by means of the following methods: ozonation, hydrogen peroxide treatment, UV irradiation, and simultaneous oxidation with H2O2 and UV or O-3, H2O2 and UV. The wastewater was analysed prior to and after treatment according to Polish Standards. Determination of pH, specific colour and threshold number, COD and BOD, anionic surfactants and soluble substances was carried out. The aim of the experiments was to compare the efficiency of waste degradation. The best results were obtained when all three factors were applied simultaneously.
