摘要
Malnutrition is a major public health problem affecting more than 2 million people in France. The diagnosis of malnutrition is exclusively clinical; it is based on the combination a phenotypic and etiologic criteria in children as well as in adults Body weight must be measured during each consultation of hospitalization and entered into the medical file. A normal a high body mass index (BMI) does not exclude the possibility of malnutrition (for instance, an overweight or obese persor may be undernourished). Early nutritional care improves the prognosis and reduces costs.
