摘要
NonDestructive Testing (NDT) is widely used in industries to ensure the product quality. This paper highlights the importance of tool status monitoring which has its influence on product quality and dimensional accuracy. But to make a significant advance in intelligent machining, it is essential to integrate the monitoring approach with a decision based system which can decide on the tool status. This paper uses Acoustic Emission Technique, one of the NDT technique and cutting force in monitoring the tool status and the significant role of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) in taking the correct decision about the tool status in face milling operation.
