A novel fluorescent sensor with highly response of Cu2+ based on Eu3+ post-modified metal-organic framework in aqueous media

摘要:
A unique 3D metal-organic framework Al-2(OH)(2)[C12O12H2]center dot 2H(2)O (MIL-116, C12O12H2 = benzene hexacarboxylate) with uncoordinated carboxylic groups was synthesized and structurally characterized. Then Eu3+ cations were encapsulate into the uncoordinated carboxylic groups of MIL-116 to form Eu3+ incorporated products Eu3+@MIL-116 by the postsynthetic modification (PSM) method. Eu3+@MIL-116 displays intense and sharp emission, characteristic of Eu3+ luminescence. It can detect Cu2+ selectively and sensitively (detection limit, 0.88 mu M) in aqueous solution due to a significant decrease of the Eu3+ luminescence intensity, and represents a rare Cu2+ fluorescent sensor based on europium-doped metal-organic frameworks formed by PSM method.
