摘要
The Conservatory of Granada was a feminized space from its beginnings, with many women among the student body and the teaching staff who contributed significantly to making its first steps possible. Based on this premise, this paper analyses its first female teachers' origin, training, and careers from its creation in 1921 until 1936. Specifically, we study the conditions that led to their incorporation into this musical institution, considering the characteristics of their life and professional itineraries. This research is based on extensive administrative and periodical documentation from the perspectives of Women's Studies and Social and Cultural History, allowing us to discover and evaluate these women teachers' unique experiences and contributions. Ultimately, this study offers a hitherto unexplored view of the early musical professionalization of women in the cultural life of Spanish cities in the first decades of the 20th century.
