摘要：
A planar mechanism tippically applied in sewing machines as needle and thread take up drive is kinematically simulated by computer. The positions of critical points are evaluated from the geometric conditions applying specific additional conditions on multiple equation solutions. Trajectory and velocity regime are given graphically for the point of interest. Numerical results are well suited for optimisation of the mechanism geometry.
