摘要
Endocervical and exocervical samples from three hundred and sixty women with vaginal discharge were obtained. Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum were investigated in endocervical samples while some other bacteria, fungi and parasites were studied in exocervical samples. The following characteristics, in vaginal fluid samples were registered: pH, fishy odor and clue cells, also Gram stain was done. Gardnerella vaginalis was isolated in blood hum an agar 5% and was identified through biochemical tests. The percentages. obtained were G. vaginalis (23.9%), Candida albicans (21.9%), Trichomonas vaginalis (14.2%), Chlamydia trachomatis (11.7%), Neisseria gonorrhoeae (5.0%), Ureaplasma urealyticum (4.2%) and Mycoplasma hominis (2.7%). Out of the three hundred and sixty women studied, thirty seven presented more than one pathogenic microorganism. 8.2% of forms compatible with Mobiluncus spp. were observed by Gram stain. Relationship between isolation of G. vaginalis and presence of clue cells was 95.2%. The clue cells test had a sensitivity of 95.2%, especificity of 100% and predictive positive value of 100%.
