摘要
The formulation of the nth-order shear deformation theory was modified to discuss the hygrothermal response of free vibration of laminated composite plates. Current theory has four unknown variables. Besides, this theory does not require a shear correction factor and gives a parabolic distribution of shear stresses across the thickness of the plate. The properties of the plate are affected by temperature and humidity. The equations of motion are established from Hamilton's principle. The Navier-type solution procedure is applied to determine analytical solutions for free vibration of simply-supported laminated plates. The numerical results obtained by the present analysis of the free vibrations of composite plates are discussed to present the influence of the temperature, humidity, proportion of the aspect, and the orientation of the fiber orient on the characteristics of the vibration of the laminated plate.
