摘要
In our day to day life many people suffer from hearing disabilities. The major disabilities are Deaf-Mute People. Around 360 million people in world suffer from hearing loss. The Interaction between Deaf-Mute and Common people becomes difficult task, Sign Language is the method used for it. The main reason for this is majority of hearing individuals unable to understand sign language, interaction between the normal people and the deaf people is a challenging task. Many communication methods exist, but hope to make translation even better with a cost-effective, effective framework that translates sign language into voice language and voice language into sign language in real time. Kinect sensor is the first of its kind; It is used on a large-scale, depth camera. It is device that can view in 3Dimensions. Microsoft made the device mainly as a game controller and is operated by the company's own software for analyzing its 3D data, including proprietary computation for, scene analysis, feature tracking, motion tracking, gesture recognition and skeletal tracking. The effectiveness of work is done in matlab and verified using Kinect. Kinect using Matlab is a good solution for converting sign language to spoken language and this is the basis of this paper which is described here in details.
