摘要
Eddy-current methods of non-destructive testing are used extensively for detecting defects in metallic structures. In this paper we discuss the problem of testing short pipes by using a differential eddy current transducer. Simplified theoretical analysis of the output voltage of the transducer as well as results of measurements are given. In particular, the influence of the ends of pipes on the detectability of eddy current inspections is studied.
