Vapor tables in the teaching-learning for engineers

摘要
We show some suggestions to develop the topic about vapor tables for a basic thermodynamics course for engineers. It is based on a methodology designed by the authors. This methodology shows the need of reinforce the subject with experimental work and historical aspects, in order to get a feed-back of the teaching-learning process. It is also suggested the use of algorithmic knowledge. Our main interest does not attempt to show some experiments, to recover, or use some software-data in the tables. Our goal is to enhance the conscious learning by the use of outlines, which enable the students to make abstractions starting from some properties of the studied object. Some of the suggested activities have been summarized in a pseudocode in order to simplify the presentation, and also due to the enthusiastic response of the students when loading these routines in their personal calculators.
