摘要
A continuous cell line, designated FG-9307 was derived from gill tissue of the flounder Paralichthys olivaceus and has been propagated for 96 passages over 3 years. The cells grew well in the temperature range of 20-25 degrees C, but had a reduced growth rate at 30 degrees C and did not grow at 35 degrees C. Ar 15 degrees C, the cells grew very slowly but could be maintained for one or two months without medium replacement, The diploid chromosome number of the cells at the 10th passage was 48, which was identical with those of the embryonic cells of the fish. However, the chromosome number varied greatly at the 57th passage, ranging from 38 to 102 with a bimodal distribution, a large distribution peak at 48 and a smaller one at 46. The cells were not susceptible to infectious pancreatic necrosis virus. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
