摘要：

The article describes the relationship :between Baptists and evangelical Christians with public authorities and the Orthodox clergy in the territory of the Middle Volga and Urals. The author has analyzed the reasons for the sharp deterioration in Russian Baptists during the First World War, and also revealed the main forms of persecution of representatives of the evangelical movement in this chronological period.
