摘要
The article describes a way of modernization of industrial shunting locomotives widely used by enterprises in Russia. It is proposed to replace hydro-mechanical transmission of present locomotives with an AC/AC electro-mechanical transmission. Traction electric equipment set for such a modernization is described in details. The approach advantages are considered. The technical and economical viability of such modernization are proved.
