摘要
The article is devoted to the issues of organizing the supply of weapons from abroad to the Russian Empire during the First World War. In 1915, the Russian army lacked military equipment for its multimillion-dollar mobilized army. The pre-war reserve of 5 million Mosin rifles was not enough to conduct long-term hostilities. Therefore, the Russian military authorities were forced to resort to mass purchases of small arms abroad from both allies and neutral countries before the completion of the military mobilization of industry. However, a number of neutral Latin American countries (Brazil, Argentina) refused Russia military supplies, despite all the efforts made by the military and diplomats of the Russian empire.
