摘要
Assessment of the response to therapy in patients with lymphoma involving bone can be difficult. In this patient, who demonstrated complete remission, the regions of fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (F-18 FDG) PET uptake diminished more rapidly after therapy, indicating a complete response at a much earlier stage than did magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based findings. With the MRI and computed tomography findings, it was difficult to assess whether the residual tumor tissue was viable. Serial studies using PET may be superior to MRI in the evaluation of primary lymphoma of bone (PLB).
