Optical properties of UV dye PTP-doped silica film prepared by sol-gel process

摘要
UV dye p-terphenyl (PTP)-doped silica films and slab were prepared by the sol-gel process with dioxane as the common solvent. The maximum PTP concentrations doped in the visibly transparent silica film and slab are 1.26 X 10(-2) and 3.15 X 10(-3) M. respectively. Concentration quenching was not observed in the emission spectra, and the emission peaks centered at similar to 353 and similar to 370 nm for the film show red shift of 14 and 31 nm, respectively, compared with that of the cyclohexane solution of PTP.
