In this paper, the organic Rankine cycle integrated vapor compression refrigeration system has been evaluated thermodynamically and optimized using Taguchi-integrated gray relation analysis. Exergetic efficiency and pressure ratios of compressor and expander are considered as the performance characteristics. The optimal setting of input parameters is 298 K temperature of condenser, R602 working fluid, 80% isentropic efficiency of the expander, 85% isentropic efficiency of the compressor, evaporator temperatures for ORC at 373 K, and VCR at 268 K. The condenser and the ORC evaporator have strongly affected the performance of the system (sensitivity analysis).
