摘要
To stretch image contrast and provide with more detail information, based on Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm and Incomplete Beta Function, this paper proposes a novel adaptive image enhancement method. The main idea is to employ ABC algorithm to select the optimal parameters of Incomplete Beta Function, which corresponds to the best-curve of grayscale transformation. Our experimental results show that the new method not only is fast and efficient, but also is superior to some traditional methods, such as histogram equalization, unsharp masking, and Genetic Algorithm based methods.
