Paediatric palliative care: not so different from adult palliative care?

摘要：
There is a growing recognition that skilful care of dying children is important (Association for Children's Palliative Care/Roval College of Paediatrics and Child Health, 2003). Palliative cate takes a holistic approach to physical symptoms, psychological and spiritual problems of dying, whether for children or adults. This article examines the similarities and differences between adult and paediatric palliative care, and looks at the needs of young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions making the transition from paediatric to adult health-care systems.
