Electrical properties of trimethylammonium monobromodichloromercurate

摘要
[(CH3)(3)NH]HgBrCl2 (TrHgBrCl2) has been studied by means of X-ray powder diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, dielectric relaxation and ac conductivity. DSC and thermal evolution of the dielectric constant show a phase transition at 338 K which is ferroelectric-paraelectric type. The frequency dependent conductivity is interpreted in term of Jonscher's law: sigma(omega) = sigma(dc) +Aomega(n). The temperature dependence of the low frequency limit of the bulk ac conductivity sigma(dc) is well described by the Arrhenius equation: sigma(dc)T= B exp(-E-g/kT). (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
