摘要
The most important determinant for future labour market trends is technological change. Although the evolution of digital technologies has already gained momentum, the main impacts of this new era of technological change remain largely in front of us. Given this, it is essential to understand what are the impacts caused by digitalisation in the labour market. The purpose of this work is to conduct a systematic review of the literature of how the emerging digital technologies may influence the gaps of the labour market. This understanding may allow an assessment of the spread of skills and the persistence of unemployment, and if these situations are absent, slowed down or intensified by digitization. Evaluate the relevance of digitization for structural issues in the labour market, focusing on topics such as recruitment difficulties and skills shortages, persistent unemployment and changes in forms of employment. The relevant drivers of the identified structural issues can serve as a basis for the development of a region that is facing structural problems in the labour market caused by digitalisation. In addition, it can assist a region that needs highly qualified human resources and is aware of the type of workers it wants to attract, as this identification helps to predict skill gaps and develop training. The conclusions can be used to align companies' strategies and public policies to generate greater efficiency and success in the search for sustainable growth solutions in a regional economy.
