Results are presented from ten years of observations of the upper mesosphere - lower thermosphere circulation. Using recorded experimental data, height profiles of the Doppler shifts in meteor radar echoes were used to determine the meridional and zonal wind. Solar control of the zonal circulation was investigated by analysing the mean, annual and semiannual components of the resulting time series. (C) 1997 COSPAR. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
