摘要
Do the different institutional arrangements in Uruguay and the United Kingdom matter for decision-making on regional integration processes? This study compares the cases to identify the factors that led to Uruguayan stability in Mercosul and the British exit from the European Union. The data show that Westminster was a facilitator for Brexit to take place, while Uruguayan presidentialism could hinder a similar bargain in Mercosul.
