摘要
Doppler Broadening Positron Annihilation Spectroscopy (DBPAS) has been used to investigate the bulk defect concentration of polymer samples which have been subjected to radiation. The experimental variables under investigation were the duration and type of exposure. ?he key results are summarized as follows. (i) the resolution of the experimental apparatus was adequate in statistically distinguishing between distinct defect concentrations at successive exposure intervals; (ii) for PMMA, increased radiation causes the S parameter to increase, however in polycarbonate samples, a decrease in S parameter was found.
