摘要
After the reform and development, through decades of development, the economic situation of Western China has undergone tremendous changes. Especially since the implementation of the strategy of Western development, the economy of Western China has developed rapidly. Based on the economic data of the western provinces of China in 2018 in the China Statistical Yearbook, this paper chooses several indicators to establish a scientific and reasonable evaluation index, and classifies the western provinces according to their economic conditions by cluster analysis. It is found that 12 provinces in Western China can be divided into four categories, of which Sichuan is the first, Inner Mongolia, Chongqing and Shaanxi are the second, Yunnan, Guangxi, Guizhou and Xinjiang are the third, and Tibet, Qinghai, Ningxia and Gansu are the fourth.
