摘要
A novel high-speed micro magneto-optic switch, which is used in high-speed all-optical communication network, is designed in this paper. The study of high-speed micro magneto-optic switch mainly involves the optical path and high-speed control technology design. The optical path design covers light path design of polarization in birefringent crystal, the performance analysis and material selection of Faraday magneto-optic crystal and magnetic path design of magnetic field in Faraday rotator. The research of high-speed control technology involves the study of nanosecond pulse generator and its control technology etc. The high-speed control technology has great influence on the switching speed and other performance parameters. The optical path design schemes and electronic circuits of high-speed control technology are both simulated on computer and test by the experiments respectively. The experiment results state that the nanosecond pulse generator can output the positive pulse with rising time 2.9similar to3.2ns, rising amplitude 5similar to30V and pulse width 5similar to230ns. Under the control of switch circuit, the optical beam can be stably switched with no sharp dithering. Currently the on-off time of optical switch can reach to 20mus.
