摘要
This paper presents some results from a research about number sense of undergraduate mathematics students from the University of La Laguna. The objective of the research is to study the number sense strategies used by undergraduate mathematics students and to compare the results with those obtained in a previous study about number sense of pre-service elementary teachers in Taiwan. Results show a low percentage of correct responses having in consideration the mathematical knowledge of students but they also display a greater variety of responses with number sense reasoning, comparing with the research in Taiwan.
