摘要
We report on magnetisation, electrical resistivity, and neutron diffraction measurements on two isostructural uranium intermetallic systems: U1-xYxCu5 (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.3) and UCu5-xAgx (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 1.5). For x less than or equal to 2 the Y3+ ion appears to have a stabilising effect on the low-temperature transition (T-2) of UCu5. Neutron diffraction experiments have confirmed the presence of a new magnetic phase in UCu4Ag. Analysis indicates that a ferromagnetic component develops below about 1.5 K.
